They have been the resident company at The Corn Exchange Newbury & New Greenham Arts since 2002.
Situated in the historic market place in Newbury, West Berkshire the Corn Exchange and its studio space New Greenham Arts are two of the South East’s most dynamic venues. They have over recent years established themselves as a regional base for the development of new work and artist support.
Evolve/Exchange is the new work and artist support programme of Corn Exchange, funded by Arts Council England, South East. Currently in its second year it provides a range of support including production spaces and seed funding for projects.
Plested and Brown are currently working under the Evolve/Exchange scheme. Other artists and companies include Barb Jungr, Sharpwire, Lone Twin, Fevered Sleep, Andy Muir/Max Humphries, Grey Light Productions, Will Adamsdale, Lost Dog and Cartoon de Salvo.
Plested and Brown are proud to have had a number of projects supported by the Arts Council England, including a research and development grant for our new show.
Plested and Brown are pleased to announce that their brand new production 'The Perfect Wife Roadshow' will be co-commissioned by Newbury Corn Exchange, Barnsley Civic and Lincolnshire One Venues and has been supported by Arts Council England.
Previous co-commissioning venues include The Wales Millennium Centre, South Hill Park Bracknell and Wyvern Theatre Swindon.
